Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2026 – 2030

Public Consultation

Council has recently reviewed its Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP) and is seeking public feedback prior to formal adoption in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act 1999 and Council’s Communication and Consultation Policy.

The Disability Inclusion Act 2018 requires that each State Authority must have a disability access and inclusion plan. The District Council has developed its DAIP in accordance with its responsibilities under the Act, and with reference to the Department of Human Services (DHS) Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) Guidelines.

A copy of the plan is available by clicking here; or can be purchased for a fee at the Council Offices at 6 Main Street, Cowell  SA  5602.

The community is encouraged to provide input by written submission addressed to the Chief Executive Officer at the above address or by email to council@franklinharbour.sa.gov.au by no later than Tuesday 9th June 2026 @ 5.00 pm.
