The Cowell Aerodrome is located 2.0 nautical miles west/northwest of Cowell and is contained in an 
area of 125 hectares of land adjacent to the Lincoln Highway.
The aerodrome has three unrated clay/sand runways.
12/30 is 1057 metres long
17/35 is 1472 metres long
The main runway 04/22 is 1188 metres long and is fitted with electric (L4) lights that may be activated on frequency 120.6.
A terminal building located at the Aerodrome has basic facilities, toilets and ring out (local call only) phone. Fuel is not supplied - however, arrangements can be made through the local Ampol Westcoast distributor.
No charges are payable for the use of the Aerodrome facilities.
